Lihu Yang

Dr. Lihu Yang is the head of chemistry at UCB's US site, specializing in macrocyclic peptide research and targeted protein degradations. They joined UCB in 2017, following a notable 26-year career at Merck, where they contributed significantly to medicinal chemistry and drug discovery. Previously, Lihu served as the head of External Innovation in Asia, fostering research collaborations in drug discovery technologies and targets across the region. Lihu's academic background includes a PhD in organic synthesis from Rice University and a BS in chemistry from Nankai University.
