Mark Jones

Mark Jones serves as the Data Privacy Lead in Ethics and Legal Affairs at UCB, overseeing data privacy for research and early development since 2008. With additional responsibilities in the Functional Data Protection Office, Mark focuses on privacy, training, and process improvement. Prior to UCB, Mark held various roles at AstraZeneca R&D from 1992 to 2008, including Director of Biomarkers in Experimental Medicine, where leadership in translational science produced biomarkers for clinical trials. Mark also contributed as a Lean Sigma Blackbelt, managing projects in the Respiratory and Inflammation Research Area, and led teams in bioinformatics, delivering innovative solutions for research applications. Mark holds a BSc Hons in Biochemistry and Genetics from the University of Nottingham.
