Martin Willmott is an experienced marketing and sales leader with a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as the Global Marketing Lead for axSpA at UCB since May 2021, Martin plays a pivotal role in the global launch of a biologic medicine for rheumatology. Prior to this, Martin held various positions at Novartis UK, including Sales & Marketing Head for Ophthalmology, where responsibilities included managing a brand with annual sales around £140 million. Martin's career also includes significant roles at UCB, where achievements in marketing and leadership drove successful launches in multiple therapeutic areas, as well as experience at Schering Health Care Limited, AVENTIS PHARMA LIMITED, and Hoechst Marrion Rousell. Martin’s educational background includes a BSc in European Business Studies from Swansea University and an MBA from The Open University.
