Merrick Strotton

Principal Scientist

Merrick Strotton, PhD, is a Principal Scientist at UCB since October 2021, specializing in high-plex imaging within the Immunology histology group and serving as a bioimage analyst across various histology platforms. Prior to this role, Merrick worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the University of Zurich, where a self-initiated project focused on developing a novel high-multiplex, single-cell imaging method for breast cancer applications. Merrick also gained experience at King's College London as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate, advancing a project on mapping cell-cell connections in the 3D nervous system. Previously, at Eli Lilly and Company, Merrick characterized the kinetics and pharmacology of a novel nicotinic receptor as a Research Assistant. Academic credentials include a PhD in Neuroscience and a Master’s Degree in Translational Medicine from King's College London, a Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Bath, and completion of a Digital Business Transformation Programme at Vlerick Business School.
