Akash Saha

Akash Saha, Ph.D., currently serves as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles, since February 2023. Prior to this position, Akash was a Graduate Student at the Indian Institute of Chemical Biology from August 2014 to December 2021, focusing on the crosstalk between autophagy and apoptosis, particularly the role of pro-apoptotic proteins in the regulation of autophagy in an Alzheimer's disease model. Akash's academic background includes a Master of Science in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, completed in 2014, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience from the Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, obtained in 2021. Akash also acquired a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Allahabad in 2012 and had earlier education at St. Joseph's College, Allahabad, from 1996 to 2009.
