Aleesha N.

Aleesha N. is an accomplished theatre professional and educator with extensive experience in writing, directing, and mentoring within the performing arts. Currently serving as an instructor at UCLA since 2023, Aleesha focuses on nurturing emerging dramatic writers. As a Script Share Mentor with The Playwrights Realm since 2018, Aleesha fosters new voices in playwriting and provides feedback as a reader for unproduced scripts. Aleesha has directed and written for Off Broadway Theater since 2012, emphasizing collaborative creativity. Previous roles include character designer and illustrator for Fred Rogers Productions, as well as various positions in marketing and audience development. Aleesha holds a Master's degree in Speech Communication and Rhetoric from New York University, an MFA in Dramatic Writing from Goddard College, and a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication and Rhetoric from Otterbein University.
