Bryan Ruiz

Bryan Ruiz is an accomplished professional in the field of radiation safety, currently serving as President of Belden Engineering, Inc. since October 2024, where expertise is applied as a radiation safety consultant across various industries. Previously, Bryan has held multiple leadership roles at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), including Director of Environmental Occupational Research Safety and Director of Research Safety within the Environmental Health and Safety department, while also serving as Interim Assistant Vice Chancellor for EH&S. Prior experience includes a role as Radiation Safety Officer at UC Irvine and several positions at UCLA, culminating as Senior Health Physicist. Bryan began the career in radiation/radiochemistry as a laboratory technician at Monserco. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Physics from McMaster University, complemented by further education at Sheridan College and additional training in Spokane, WA.
