Christine Lee

Associate Project Scientist

Christine Lee is an accomplished Associate Project Scientist at the University of California, Los Angeles since July 2022 and a Research Scientist in the Water and Ecosystems Group at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory since August 2014. With extensive experience, Christine held roles including Associate Program Manager for NASA Water Resources and Applications Lead for the ECOSTRESS project. Current projects involve assessing wildfire impacts on coastal water quality, community collaboration in fishpond stewardship, and linking coral health to societal well-being through Earth observations. Christine has also served as Technical Group Supervisor, overseeing investigations into water ecosystems and their interactions within the Earth system. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering with an Urban Planning minor and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with an English minor, both from UCLA.
