Corinne Smith

Corinne Smith serves as Co-President and Co-Founder/Board Member of The Alt Protein Project at UCLA since January 2023 and is currently a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior experience includes roles as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Cincinnati, focusing on peripheral nervous system injury treatment, and various engineering co-op and internship positions at BASF and Conagra Brands, where Corinne managed projects related to safety and process optimization. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering from UCLA, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and minors in Spanish and Chemistry from the University of Cincinnati. Corinne has contributed to multiple publications on nerve repair applications and has a strong foundation in research and engineering practices.
