Daniel Szabo is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in music composition and instruction. Currently serving as an Adjunct Associate Professor and Lecturer at UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, Daniel has been involved in course development and teaching since 2016. As the bandleader and composer at DSZabomusic since 2000, Daniel has also contributed to various projects, including roles as a composer’s assistant at Playwrights Horizons. Daniel holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Southern California and has previously held key positions such as Artistic Director of Performance Department at Kodolányi János University of Applied Sciences and Managing Director at Ferenc Martyn Free Art School, where responsibilities included curriculum development, faculty management, and teaching. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree from New England Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor's degree from Franz Liszt Academy of Music.
