David Ren

Ph.d. Researcher

David Ren is a Ph.D. Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles, focusing on spatial linear stability analysis and data-driven modeling in the field of mechanical and aerospace engineering under the guidance of Professors Ann Karagozian and Leo Alves. David has participated in undergraduate research at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where experimental work on axisymmetric-helical mode interactions of free round jets took place, and developed machine learning methods to assess crop health. Additionally, David served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for multiple courses, including Intermediate Fluid Mechanics and Rocket Propulsion. David holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
