Debjit Roy

Debjit Roy is a skilled researcher with a strong background in the dynamics of biological membranes and advanced imaging techniques. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles since November 2020, Debjit's work involves investigating the electrical phenomena of biological membranes using fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM). Prior to this, Debjit held a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at the National University of Singapore, where research centered on the organization and dynamics of cell membranes through camera-based fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS), specifically examining myelination processes in oligodendrocyte cells. Debjit also served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Science Education & Research, Kolkata, focusing on ultrafast fluorescence dynamics of green fluorescence protein chromophores. Debjit's academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Chemistry and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, both from the University of Calcutta.
