Douglas Chen

Douglas Chen is a Research Scientist at EOSPACE Inc. since January 2022, overseeing medium-scale production of custom parts and developing new optical systems. Additionally, Douglas has served as a Lecturer at the University of California, Los Angeles since October 2020, coordinating and grading courses in Project Management Principles and Business Analytics for the Online Masters Program. Previous experience includes a Graduate Student Researcher at UCLA, where Douglas developed innovative methods for carbon fiber recovery and assisted in engineering competitions, alongside roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Laboratory Safety Officer. Douglas holds a PhD in Materials Science from UCLA and a BS in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Rice University, where earlier research involved particle synthesis and magnetic field control.
