Eduardo Lopez

Coordinator/instructor M.ed. In Urban Teaching Program

Eduardo Lopez has extensive experience in education, primarily at UCLA since 2005, where Eduardo serves as Coordinator and Instructor for the M.Ed. in Urban Teaching Program, developing curricula and teaching novice courses focused on social foundations, methodologies for English language learners, and urban education. Additionally, Eduardo supervises novice Social Studies teacher candidates in a Credential/Masters Teacher Education Program. Other teaching roles include lecturing at California State University, Long Beach, and other colleges, covering topics like language minority education and the Mexican American experience. Earlier career experience includes teaching Social Studies at Verbum Dei High School, where Eduardo led course updates to align with college entrance requirements. Eduardo holds a PhD in Critical Pedagogy from Claremont Graduate University and an M.A. in International and Multicultural Education from the University of San Francisco.
