Fernando Tapia has extensive experience in community engagement, project management, and research within various organizations. Currently serving as the DOL/OSHA Susan Harwood Project Director for the UCLA Labor Occupational Safety and Health (LOSH) Program since January 2011, Fernando manages a Capacity Building Grant and ensures timely reporting. Previous roles include Senior Contract Enforcer and Shop Steward for SEIU "Justice for Janitors," and Project Coordinator at El Centro de Ayuda, Corp., where significant contributions were made over a decade. Experience also includes consulting work for Social Policy Research Associates and UCLA, alongside serving as a panelist for the L.A. Cultural Affairs Youth Arts and Education Division.
