Jennifer Sumner, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at UCLA, where they direct the Sumner Stress Lab. Previously, they served as an Assistant Professor at UCLA and a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at Columbia University Medical Center. Their research examines the impact of trauma and severe stress on accelerated aging and chronic disease risk, with a particular focus on cardiovascular health in women. Jennifer earned their PhD in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University and a BA in Psychology from Pomona College.
