Julia Heck

Julia Heck is a seasoned academic and researcher in epidemiology, currently serving as a Professor and Associate Dean of Research at the University of North Texas since September 2020. Prior to this role, Julia was affiliated with UCLA as an Associate Research Professor and previously held positions as an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and a Fellow. From 2006 to 2008, Julia gained valuable experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the International Agency for Research on Cancer. Academic training includes a PhD in Epidemiology from Columbia University, an MPH from Boston University, and a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Additionally, Julia has held research positions at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
