Lauren Clark

Professor

Lauren Clark is a seasoned professional in nursing and disability advocacy, currently serving as the President of the Western Institute Of Nursing and a Member of the Board of Directors at Disability Rights California. Since 2020, Lauren has contributed to the UCLA Tarjan Center as an Advisory Council Member and has been a Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles since August 2019, focusing on research, education, and community engagement in nursing for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Prior to this, Lauren held positions as an Ombudsman at University of Utah Health and as a Professor at the University of Utah, where qualitative research methods and global public health were taught. Lauren's academic career began at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus as an Associate Professor from 1991 to 2007. Lauren earned a PhD in Nursing from the University of Arizona between 1988 and 1992.
