Lorena Fuentes

Lorena Fuentes, Ph.D., is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in academia and advocacy. Since May 2017, Lorena has served as the Co-Founder and Director of Practice & Advocacy at Ladysmith and has held the position of Director. Additionally, since October 2018, Lorena has been a Lecturer at the University of California, Los Angeles, where course curriculum on Gender & International Development has been designed for senior-level students. Previous roles include serving as a Visiting Scholar at UCLA, a Freelance Researcher for Plan International, and a Young Women's Advocacy Project lead at Eaves, where educational content on various critical issues was developed and delivered in diverse settings. Lorena's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Development Studies and an MSc in Human Rights, among other notable degrees.
