Maher El-Kady

Maher El-Kady is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, focusing on the development and implementation of new materials with specialized physical properties for applications in energy storage, solar cells, and flexible electronics. As Co-Founder and Chief Science and Technology Officer at Nanotech Energy, Maher leads a team in advancing lithium-ion battery technology for various applications. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Research Associate at UCLA, Lecturer of Chemistry at Cairo University, and Research Scientist positions at Draper and Maxwell Technologies, where Maher contributed to the development of graphene-based energy solutions. Maher's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UCLA and a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Cairo University.
