Michael Habib

Michael Habib is a professor, writer, artist, and consultant with expertise in biomechanics, paleontology, and animation. They have held positions as an Assistant Professor of Biology at Chatham University and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at UCLA, and they currently serve as a Research Associate at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Michael has published forty peer-reviewed papers and contributes regularly to Scientific American while providing editorial support for National Geographic Magazine. They are also a freelance writer and animation consultant, with ongoing projects, including the upcoming book "Flying Monsters: Illustrating Flying Vertebrates," set for release in 2024.
