Michael van Dam

Michael van Dam is a Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, where research focuses on novel microfluidic technologies and automated systems for cancer research and molecular imaging. Currently leading a project to develop an automated microfluidic platform for radiochemical synthesis and analysis of imaging probes used in positron emission tomography (PET), Michael also serves as the Director of the Crump Cyclotron and Radiochemistry Technology Center, which fosters technological advancements in the field. Previously, Michael held positions as a Senior Engineer at Siemens Molecular Imaging and as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the California Institute of Technology. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Caltech and a Master of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from Queen's University.
