Neil O'Brien currently holds the position of Associate Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA since July 2019. In addition to this role, O'Brien is a co-founder of 1200 Pharma and serves as Director and Co-Founder of TORL Biotherapeutics, both established in January 2019. O'Brien’s academic journey at UCLA began in 2005, progressing from Assistant Researcher to Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine. O'Brien earned a PhD in Biochemistry/Pharmacology from University College Dublin between 2000 and 2005.
