Richard Ross

Richard Ross serves as the Program Director for the Department of Physics at the University of California, Los Angeles, since September 2021, overseeing the Master of Quantum Science and Technology program and directing the Challenge Institute for Quantum Computation. Prior to this role, Richard Ross was a Principal Scientist at HRL Laboratories from June 1995 to September 2021, and held postdoctoral positions at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and ESPCI Paris - PSL. Richard Ross earned a PhD in Physics from UC Santa Barbara and a BA in Physics from The Johns Hopkins University.
