Simon Beaven

Simon Beaven is the Chief of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Olive View - UCLA Medical Center, where they lead the Pfleger Liver Institute and the Vatche & Tamar Manoukian Division of Digestive Diseases. They have served as a Professor of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles since 2022, following an appointment as Associate Professor from 2017 to 2022. Simon completed a fellowship in Digestive Diseases at UCLA and earned an MD from UC San Francisco, along with a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Pathology from UCLA. Their foundational education includes a B.S. in Mathematics with Honors in Humanities from Stanford University.
