Stefano Soatto is currently the Vice President of Applied Science for Agentic AI at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where they lead the development of advanced AI applications. With a strong academic background as a professor at UCLA and director of the UCLA Vision Lab, Stefano has significantly contributed to fields such as machine learning, computer vision, and robotics. Their consulting experience spans notable companies and initiatives, including founding the first augmented reality on commodity hardware and co-leading a team in the DARPA Grand Challenge. Previously, Stefano held various roles at AWS, focusing on computer vision and natural language processing services, and developed pioneering technologies for biomedical applications and autonomous vehicles.
