Stuart Conway

Stuart Conway is an accomplished chemist with extensive experience in academia and editorial roles. Current positions include Treasurer of the ACS Division of Medicinal Chemistry and Associate Editor for both the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry and ACS Bio & Med Chem Au at the American Chemical Society since January 2016. Stuart currently holds the Michael and Alice Jung Endowed Chair of Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery at UCLA and served as a Professor of Organic Chemistry and University Lecturer at the University of Oxford from October 2008 to June 2023. In addition, Stuart was a Tutor in Organic Chemistry at St Hugh's College during the same period and held the role of President of the Royal Society of Chemistry Organic Division from September 2018 to July 2022. Academic contributions also include previous appointments at the California Institute of Technology, University of St Andrews, and University of Cambridge, as well as a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from the University of Bristol.
