Swetha Atluri

Swetha Atluri currently serves as the President of Speak Out For Surgery, where responsibilities include partnering with local nonprofits to enhance health literacy in under-resourced communities and overseeing five committees with 40 members. In addition, Swetha held the position of Financial Director, managing expenses, applying for grants, and coordinating fundraising efforts. As a Laboratory Assistant at UCLA, Swetha conducts research on Alzheimer's Disease through various laboratory techniques. Prior experience includes working as an Emergency Medical Technician at Eagle Ambulance, a Manufacturing Associate at Twist Bioscience, and a Community Building Team Intern at Open Insulin Foundation. Swetha began involvement in scientific research as a Student Researcher at BioCurious. Swetha is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from UCLA, expected to graduate in March 2025.
