Tom Hodgson

Tom Hodgson is an accomplished academic and musician currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles since October 2022. As Co-Founder and CEO of Tigmus Ltd. since January 2014, Tom also pursues a career as a musician with Stornoway from January 2012 onward. Previous academic positions include Departmental Lecturer in Music at the University of Oxford from September 2020 to September 2022, Lecturer in Ethnomusicology at King's College London, and Postdoctoral Fellow at the British Academy. Tom's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Musicology and Ethnomusicology from the University of Oxford and a Master of Letters from Newcastle University.
