Wenda Wang

Wenda Wang is an experienced professional in robotics, deep learning, and autonomous systems. Currently a Co-Founder at UCR, Wenda focuses on machine learning for bots while also serving as a Founder Fellow at South Park Commons, where Wenda builds robots. Previously, Wenda held various engineering roles, including Staff Machine Learning Engineer and Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Apple, and developed a deep learning-based OCR engine during an internship at A9.com. Wenda earned a Master’s degree in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University, following a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and Automation from East China University of Science and Technology and another Bachelor’s in Information Technology from Fachhochschule Lübeck.
