Grant Buttars is an archivist with over 20 years of experience and a strong interest in technology and the relationship between information access and democracy. They served as the University Records Archivist at The University of Edinburgh since 2022, after holding various positions at the institution, including Deputy University Archivist from 2004 to 2017. Additionally, Grant is a founder member and current Chair of Friends of Dunfermline, a voluntary organization committed to community-based regeneration solutions.
