Stephen Barton currently serves as the Subject Area Lead for Games & Esports and Program Lead at SGS Higher Education & University Centre since September 2021, and also holds the position of Union Branch Chair for the University and College Union (UCU) from July 2022. Previously, Stephen worked at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College from September 2009 to November 2021, where responsibilities included being the Higher Education Program Lead for two foundation degree courses in Computer Game Design & Development and Game Art, along with roles as Course Coordinator, Lecturer, and Variable Hours Lecturer for the Computer Games Design program. Stephen's educational qualifications include a BA in Creative Computer Games Design from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, a PGCE from the University of the West of England, and a CMI Level 3 Certificate in Management and Leadership from South Gloucestershire and Stroud College.
