The UDDI is a facilitating body that has been established to promote sustainable development in the region. It is a joint venture between business, government, labour and the community and aims to strengthen the Uitenhage and Despatch area as a major global player. The UDDI will seek to harvest the immense potential of its region by focusing on specific areas of development, initiating specific projects and managing these to achieve the overall objectives for the area. Ultimately, the UDDI aims to achieve the vision for Uitenhage and Despatch that will see its citizens flourish in an internationally renowned centre of business and living.
