I spent over a decade in government service, including five years behind the consular windows in New Delhi and Mumbai. I’ve personally adjudicated more than 40,000 visas and led fraud prevention units.

In those 40,000 interviews, I saw a recurring heartbreak: brilliant students, talented executives, and hopeful families failing their interviews—not because they weren't qualified, but because they didn't know how to speak "Consular."

When I left the Department of State in 2022, I realized the problem was getting worse. Applicants were being fed a mix of well-meaning myths, bad internet advice, and, in the worst cases, predatory misinformation. I founded UDETI to fix that.

We aren't just "consultants." We are a team of former Consular Chiefs and senior officers who have managed portfolios across the globe. We’ve sat in the chair and made the final call on hundreds of thousands of visas.
