Blair Fraser has a diverse work experience encompassing various roles and responsibilities. Blair is currently serving as the Vice President of Global Business Development at UE Systems since September 2021. Prior to that, they were the Global Director of IIoT Solutions at the same company from May 2020 to September 2021. In addition to their role at UE Systems, Blair is also the Co-Founder and Co-Host of Maintenance Disrupted since October 2020. Blair is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee since July 2020.
Before their current positions, Blair co-founded Quartic.ai and served as the Chief Customer Officer from April 2019 to May 2020. Blair was also a Member of the Board of Directors at ISPE Canada Affiliate from November 2018 to November 2020.
Blair's earlier career involved various roles at Lakeside Process Controls from 2008 to 2019. Blair held positions such as Leader of Operational Certainty (Digital Transformation), Business Unit Manager of Reliability Solutions, Manager of Asset Reliability Services, and Lead of Automation Lifecycle Services.
Prior to that, they worked at Novocol Pharmaceutical of Canada, Inc. as part of the Facilities Management team responsible for Water Treatment Systems. Blair also served as the Instrumentation and Electrical Coordinator at Apotex Inc. and as an Instrumentation & Electrical Specialist at Barnes Huntington & Associates.
Blair's career began as an Instrument Technician (Co-Op) at Imperial Oil Canada in 2001.
Blair Fraser has a degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology from Lambton College, which they obtained from 1998 to 2001. In addition, they attended the Schulich School of Business - York University in 2012 for a course on Successfully Coaching & Mentoring Individuals & Teams. Blair also holds several certifications including Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional from SMRP and Certified Reliability Leader from the Association of Asset Management Professionals. Blair is also an Industrial Electrician certified by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities. Previously, Blair was also a Calibration Technician certified by ASQ, but this certification has expired.
