Alex Speer

Project Engineer at UECompression

Alex Speer has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. They started their career as a CNC Machinist at Coors Tek in 2010, where they worked with little supervision and gained expertise in running and maintaining CNC machines. In 2015, Alex worked as a Design Intern at Magpul Industries Corp., where they reverse engineered AR15 models and utilized CAD, CAM, CMM, mold flow, and Smart Scope programs. They also designed and developed two projects, one of which obtained a patent.

In 2016, Alex joined Q3 Contracting Inc. as a Systems Designer, where they were responsible for designing systems until July 2022. Additionally, in the same year, they also worked as a Systems Designer at Xcel Energy from July 2016 until October 2022.

In 2019, Alex started their own venture, Project Asylum LLC, where they served as the Owner, Industrial Designer, and Mechanical Engineer. Currently, Alex is employed as a Project Engineer at UECompression since July 2022.

Alex Speer attended Red Rocks Community College from 2007 to 2010, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in the field of study AS. Following this, from 2010 to 2016, Alex attended Metropolitan State University of Denver, where they obtained a degree in Industrial Design. The field of study for this degree was Industrial and Product Design and MET.
