Alan A. graduated in Chemical Engineering from UFRGS in 2009 and earned both a Master's and a PhD from the same institution, focusing on membrane separation processes and transport phenomena. They have experience in ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, and the development of polymeric membranes for various applications. Currently, Alan is an adjunct professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Food Engineering at UFSC, where they explore the use of membrane processes in water treatment and food processing. Additionally, Alan has served as a post-doctoral researcher, working on ceramic membranes and biodegradable packaging. Outside of academia, they enjoy playing guitar and brewing craft beer.
