Alex Poltronieri completed a degree in Agronomic Engineering at the Federal University of Paraná, followed by a master's in Plant Production and a doctorate in Entomology at UFPR and Esalq/USP, respectively. Currently, Alex is an Adjunct Professor A1 at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. During their academic journey, Alex focused on integrated pest management in temperate fruit, conducting research on pest population dynamics, susceptibility evaluations, and the effectiveness of pesticides. Additionally, Alex contributed to the Technical Group for Integrated Strawberry Production (GTPIMo) and investigated various aspects of pest resistance and pathogen transmission during their doctoral studies.
