Jim Head

Jim Head is currently the Director of Actuarial Services at UnitedHealth Group, a position held since 2017. From 2012 to 2015, they served as a Senior Staff Actuary and Director of Medicare Actuarial Services at ConnectiCare, focusing on Medicare pricing and bid development. Jim also worked at Aetna, INC. as an Actuary I from 2010 to 2012 and as an Assistant Actuary from 2007 to 2010, specializing in medical cost management and individual markets pricing. Additionally, they were an Adjunct Professor at the University of Connecticut from 2009 to 2017, teaching courses in Excel, Access, and VBA to support students entering the actuarial field. Jim earned a BS in Mathematics from the State University of New York at Binghamton from 1996 to 2001.
