Mia Smith

Mia Smith has extensive nursing experience, beginning as an LPN Supervisor at NHC Lewisburg from August 2000 to September 2004, where Mia led a team providing skilled nursing care to complex patients. Continuing in similar roles, Mia served as an RN Supervisor at NHC Healthcare from May 2006 to July 2013 and worked as a Home Health Nurse at ELK VALLEY HOME HEALTH from September 2004 to May 2006. Mia later contributed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center as a Rheumatology RN 2 VPNPP from July 2013 to May 2016, focusing on patient education and telephone triage. Most recently, Mia held positions as a Specialty Pharmacy Preservice Review Nurse at Optum and as a Clinical Reviewer at Gainwell Technologies in 2023, and currently serves as a Utilization Review Nurse Medicaid at UnitedHealth Group since May 2016.
