Lance Ames

Lance Ames is currently the CEO of South Texas Health System - Edinburg and South Texas Health System - Children’s Hospitals with UHS, a role they have held since 2018. Prior to this, they served in multiple leadership positions, including Associate Administrator at various medical centers and COO for South Texas Health System. Their career began with an administrative internship at Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center, and they later worked as a Manager of Business Development & Performance Improvement at Maryview Medical Center. Lance holds a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and a B.S. in Biology from Brigham Young University.
