Jerry Townsend

Jerry Townsend is Midwest Regional Managing Partner and a member of the firm’s National Management Committee. Jerry joined the firm in 1987 and has co-led Missouri’s Manufacturing and Distribution Services Group since 2000. His work with manufacturers has provided him with knowledgeable insight in product costing and inventory accounting and valuation. Jerry also sits on the Board of Directors for UHY International.

Jerry has significant mergers and acquisitions experience on both the buying and selling side, with specific expertise working alongside entities with international operations. His primary industry focus is with privately held companies. Jerry has assisted executive management and ownership in developing management reporting tools, customer contract modeling, debt refinancing, and international expansion, and he has developed costing models that support pricing decisions that helped double the revenues of a company.

Jerry is a frequent speaker at conferences and other events and has authored numerous articles addressing risk management, succession planning, and the future of auditing.
