Leo Varner

Leo Varner began their work experience as a Tax Auditor for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts in 2000. Leo conducted compliance audits for Fortune 500 taxpayers in various industries. In 2008, they joined KPMG as a U.S. Indirect Tax Manager, where they worked until 2012. Leo then joined PwC as a Director in State and Local Tax, advising clients in sales and transaction taxes. Leo primarily worked with clients in the oil & gas, chemical, manufacturing, and telecommunications industries. Leo is currently the Principal- National State Tax Leader at UHY LLP, Certified Public Accountants, beginning in 2023.

Leo Varner obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from the University of Houston-Downtown in the years 1996-2000. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in 2010.
