Steven McCarty

Steven McCarty is a member of the firm’s National Board of Directors and Great Lakes Region Executive Committee. He is leader of the firm’s Corporate Finance and PEO groups, as well as an active member of the National Manufacturing Practice.

Since joining the firm in 1992, Steve has consulted on numerous business transactions, advising on both buy-side and sell-side, providing due diligence, financial analysis, tax strategies, negotiations, valuations, and financing. He manages a group of professionals dedicated to delivering comprehensive audit, tax, and business consulting services to middle-market clients. Additionally, he advises clients on costing and estimating, corporate controls, and operations, and guides businesses on how to operate more efficiently and profitably.

Steve devises strategies that align businesses with profitability drivers to increase revenue and maintain a competitive advantage in the marketplace. He created the Business Assessment Tool (BAT), which is used to determine a company’s strengths and weaknesses. He’s a regular speaker and author of cutting-edge tax strategies, operational excellence, and best in class corporate controls, and contributes on topics such as corporate security, sell-side transactions, and state and local tax issues.
