The Undergraduate Investment Group (UIG) is a student-led investment program dedicated to teaching sound investing principles and financial literacy through applied portfolio management. Founded at Arizona State University, UIG is built to empower undergraduates—regardless of major or background—with the knowledge, tools, and experience necessary to make informed investment decisions in today’s dynamic markets.

Set to launch with $50,000–$100,000 in university-backed capital, the group will manage a live investment portfolio across equities and ETFs. Members will perform industry research, develop investment theses, and pitch positions to an internal committee in a collaborative, team-based environment.

UIG is open to students of all disciplines and emphasizes real-world experience, peer mentorship, and practical financial education. Whether preparing for a career in finance or simply seeking to become a more confident investor, students will gain exposure to valuation techniques, macroeconomic analysis, and responsible portfolio construction.
