Dan Marculet

Dan Marculet is a Senior Applied Scientist at UiPath since August 2022, bringing significant expertise in machine learning and computer security. With a background in academia as a collaborator at the Faculty of Computer Science, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi since October 2017, Dan has conducted seminars for courses including Neural Networks, Data Structures, and Operating Systems. Prior experience includes serving as Technical Lead for Machine Learning at Bitdefender from June 2015 to August 2022, where responsibilities included leading a team to develop machine learning solutions for computer security, creating anomaly detection systems, and training neural networks. Dan's career in security research began as a reverse engineer, analyzing malicious and benign binaries. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” din Iași, and a high school diploma in Mathematics from Colegiul "Costache Negruzzi".
