Carmel Berke

Carmel Berke (ANutr.) is currently the Director of Wellbeing and Engagement for Age UK Salford, where they oversee operations supporting older individuals in the community and during hospital discharges. With a focus on malnutrition and type 2 diabetes management, Carmel has previously served as a nutritionist in both public and private sectors, including roles at NHS England and Age UK. They also hold the position of Regional Chair for UJIA, where they lead fundraising initiatives and represent the charity at various events. Additionally, Carmel serves as a Visiting Lecturer in Human Nutrition at The Manchester Metropolitan University, contributing to the education of future nutritionists. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition with First Class Honours from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
