The mission of the UKIGCN is to enhance the UK contribution to cancer care in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMIC) by bringing together the talent, resources and enthusiasm of  individuals and organisations within the UK and Ireland in a more strategic and collaborative body with the intention of improving the outcome and experience  for people at risk of, or living with, cancer and their caregivers in LMIC.

We would love to be able to map a comprehensive picture of the full range of work that UK and Ireland teams are involved in, and invite them to join the network. If you are working in collaboration with a team or teams in LMIC on cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment, research, and/or delivering education or training please get in touch so that we can make sure your work is included. We will be providing a resource to UKGCN individual and organisation members, with the capability for sharing information about global cancer practice, research and education and training activity, for UK professionals.
 
Fostering collaboration between members and using the mapping data, will play a major role in advancing global cancer practice, education and research capacity, striving to reduce the global cancer burden and strengthening our global cancer partnerships nationally in the UK and Ireland.
