Daniel Lee has a diverse range of work experience in the field of structural engineering. Daniel started their career as a Seasonal Technical Aides Engineering at Lake County Division of Transportation in 2014, where they supervised road resurfacing and inspected completed utility work. In 2016, they worked as an Engineering Intern at WBK Engineering, LLC, where they inspected construction sites and obtained necessary field data for a road rehabilitation program.
In 2017, Daniel interned at Engineering Ministries International (EMI), where they designed structural systems for community facilities and developed skills in integrated architectural and structural design. Daniel then joined EXP in 2018 as a Structural Transportation Intern, focused on designing and analyzing bridge structures.
Next, in 2019, Daniel worked as a Structural Transportation Engineer at EXP, where they designed railway bridge foundations and produced detailed calculation reports for a major design-build project. In the same year, they also worked at Wight & Company as a Structural Designer, collaborating with various disciplines to provide cost-effective design solutions for building projects.
Most recently, Daniel was a Project Engineer at Rockey Structures, LLC from 2021 to 2022. In this role, they coordinated structural elements with other disciplines, designed floor slabs for an apartment complex, and conducted construction administration tasks.
Currently, Daniel is working at Ulteig as a Design Engineer starting in 2022.
Daniel Lee earned a Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2016. In April 2016, they obtained the Engineer in Training certification from NCEES. Daniel then pursued a Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering at Northwestern University from 2017 to 2018.
