Will Alexander has a diverse work experience. Will started their career as a Water Safety Instructor and Head Lifeguard at the Town of Erie from 2017 to 2019. During this time, they engaged participants of all ages and abilities in swimming and water safety, following the American Red Cross curriculum.
Will then worked as a Parks Maintenance Technician at the City of Golden from 2019 to 2020. Will independently completed maintenance and landscaping tasks, collaborating with supervisors and technicians. Additionally, they served as a Head Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor, once again engaging participants in water safety.
From 2019 to 2021, Will held various roles at Colorado School of Mines. Will was the Residence Hall Association Director of Programming, responsible for planning, budgeting, and coordinating events for residents. Will also served as the Oredigger Camp Counselor, providing mentorship and facilitating activities for incoming first-year students.
In 2021, Will worked as a Skills Instructor at Avid4 Adventure, focusing on teaching specific skills.
In 2022, Will joined HDR as a Power Delivery Intern. Will updated models of transmission lines up to 230 kV and gained experience in the quality control review process.
Currently, in 2023, Will is working at Ulteig as a Graduate Transmission Engineer and previously worked as an Engineering Intern. Additional details about their roles at Ulteig are not provided.
Throughout their work experience, Will has demonstrated strong leadership skills, effective collaboration, and the ability to plan and execute programs and projects.
Will Alexander attended the Colorado School of Mines from 2019 to 2023, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to their formal education, they also hold several certifications, including CPR/AED/First Aid and Small Watercraft certifications from the American Red Cross, a Certified SolidWorks Associate certification from the SolidWorks Authorized Training Centre, and an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate. It is also worth noting that they have pursued an Engineer In Training (EIT) certification from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.
